Waveform Processing and Discrimination
A DPP (Digital Pulse Processing) approach that directly digitizes raw waveforms before shaping. Conventional MCAs detect peaks after shaping pulses with a shaping amplifier, so two piled-up pulses are easily miscounted as a single signal. Because ANSeeN Digital MCA analyzes the waveform itself, it can correctly separate pile-up into two pulses.

Features
- Event measurement mode for advanced analysisA measurement mode that records not only the pulse height but also the rise time and timestamp of each individual pulse. Event data can be exported to text files and used for a variety of analyses, such as coincidence measurement and two-dimensional histograms.

- Highly flexible analog front endGain is adjustable from 1/64x to 128x, covering a wide range of inputs. Input impedance can be switched in four steps from 50Ω to 50kΩ. The automatic offset adjustment function sets the target level with a single button (baseline restoration). Polarity inversion in digital processing supports both polarities. The conditioned signal is then digitized by the ADC and passed to each measurement mode, such as event measurement mode.

- Histogram measurement mode for high count ratesEquipped with a fast hardware-based pulse height histogram function that handles high count-rate input. Measurement is possible even at 10Mcps per signal channel, and two-dimensional histograms of pulse height versus pulse rise time are also supported.

- Oscilloscope mode for viewing input waveforms from the control PCOscilloscope mode lets you observe input waveforms in software on the control PC, making it easy to adjust measurement conditions.

- Versatile digital filtersA 5-level digital low-pass filter (simple moving average filter) reduces random noise. The decimation filter can reduce the sampling rate to between 1/4 and 1/100, enabling pulse height analysis of slow-rising pulse waveforms.

- Independent high-voltage bias supply for each signal channelA built-in high-voltage bias supply for photomultiplier tubes and semiconductor detectors simplifies measurement setup. ON/OFF and output voltage can be changed independently for each signal channel from the software, so the unit can also serve as a remotely controllable high-voltage bias supply without using the measurement functions (polarity selected when ordering).
- Network-readyThe MCA connects to the control PC via LAN. Remote connection through LAN hubs or routers is also possible, allowing use in inaccessible measurement environments or at remote sites.

Application Example
Direct connection of LiCAF + PMT: a simple measurement system can be built around this product. Because the input impedance and gain are variable, the PMT output can be connected directly to the product's signal input. The bias voltage for the PMT can also be supplied by this product, so simply connecting a control PC completes the measurement system.
